Caroline was "freezing" in our in-house temps of 74 degrees and needed her fleece robe to warm up during the rest of dinner. I guess outside temps of 87 degrees will cause a person to officially "chill" at below-80. :)

Yes, so this is just to share with those of you who are interested the fun results of online shopping and the long journey from Maine to the South Seas. We ordered some yummies for Valentine's Day, and they got here on Valentine's Day, with some glass and fuzz as an added bonus. For the record, the company was great about replacing the items.

So...after months of fights over brushing knots, pulling pony tail holders out, and sucking on her hair during soccer, Caroline agreed to get an island cut. We couldn't get in to walk-in hours today, and I was determined this was my very last day of "hair bondage" with her. We came home, and I simultaneously cooked dinner and cut her hair. I still need to shape it up a bit, but here is the "new," island Caroline. Now she can brush her own hair in the morning, and we can once again get along as mother and daughter in those early morning moments before school and my first cup of coffee :).
