Roi-Namur Orientation Tour
These pictures are from Mark's orientation tour of Roi-Namur. The first collection of photos covers the four KREMS radars on the Namur side of Roi-Namur. (Roi and Namur were originally separate islands that were connected by the Japanese. The US later widened the landfill bridge that connects the two islands). The next section of photos covers some of the buildings we saw on our historical tour of World War II sites. Finally, there are photos of various islands on the atoll from the airplane. Most of the photos have captions describing what you see.
